How Best to Enjoy Your Full Spa Experience

    Monday-Saturday 9am-7pm
    Sunday 9am-5pm

  • Facility Fees
    If you would like to relax in the privacy of the spa and utilize the steam room, locker room, relaxation garden, or relaxation room but choose not to experience a service, a day or weekend pass is offered.
    Day Pass $25, Weekend Pass $65 (includes Friday, Saturday, & Sunday).


  • Fitness Facility
    Guests of the hotel who are 18 and older are invited to utilize the fitness facility at no charge. A $10 fee will be applied for nonhotel guests utilizing the Spa who would like to enjoy the gym.

  • Special Considerations
    Should you have special considerations or concerns, please notify our Spa Reservationists before booking your treatments. You should let us know if you have high blood pressure, allergies, or any other physical ailments or disabilities and if you are pregnant or using Retin A, Accutane or Renova. If you have any concern at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.

  • Arrival Time
    For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment. This will allow you to unwind, complete necessary paper work, and physically and mentally unwind for your treatment. For an ideal experience, book our 20-minute PhytoBa soak prior to any service.

  • Appointment Time
    Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be applied.

  • Groups
    The Galvez is happy to coordinate your group event. We can provide you with treatment ideas, timing, and costs. For groups of four or more, ask to speak to our Special Events Coordinator. Group rates may apply.

  • Cancellation Policy
    If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us twenty-four (24) hours before your scheduled treatment to avoid being charged the full service fee. Cancellations of packages or private parties require a 72-hour notice. A credit card number is required at the time of booking for all treatments.

  • Service Charge
    An 18 % service charge will be automatically added to your spa services at checkout. 15 % of your service charge will be applied to your therapist, and the additional 3 % is dispersed among the services staff and the house. Additional gratuities are at your discretion. We accept all major credit cards. For your convenience, payment is also accepted prior to your treatments upon request.

  • Waiting List
    In the event that your requested date or provider is not available, we offer a waiting list to accommodate you in the event of a cancellation.

  • Consideration for You and for Others
    This is your time, and we want you to relax to the fullest. Whether it's the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure, or the volume of the music, please notify us of any discomforts or preferences. We require that cell phones and pagers be turned off and remain in your locker while you are visiting the spa.

  • Gift Cards
    You may purchase Spa Gift Cards for a specific dollar amount or for particular services. Spa packages were created with gift giving in mind and create the perfect combination of treatments. Gift Cards can be used toward services or toward purchases in our Spa Boutique.

  • Children
    As a courtesy to other spa guests, children are not permitted in spa treatment areas or left unattended in the Reception area. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult while visiting the spa.

  • What to Wear during Your Treatments
    Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing; however, please wear whatever is comfortable for you. Disposable undergarments are available to you if you feel more comfortable. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being massaged. Guests will be provided with robes and slippers upon arrival.

  • Choosing a Treatment or Series of Treatments
    Our Spa Reservationists will help you plan the perfect spa experience, including the best order for your treatments or consideration of a spa package or gift certificate.

  • Sunless Tanning Helpful Hints
    Please arrive to the Spa showered; shaven; and free of makeup, oil, and moisturizer. Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing after your tanning session for a minimum of eight hours. Do not shower or wear wool, nylon, or silk after your session for at least eight hours, as the solution will fade or stain the fabric. For any further questions, please contact the Spa.

  • Shaving for Men and Women Prior to Treatments
    Shaving is recommended but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you do choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Shaving for women is not recommended prior to any body treatments or hair removal services.

  • Pregnant Guests
    While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there <br>are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed. Please notify our Spa Reservationists if you are pregnant when you make your appointments so that <br>they may offer guidance.

  • Water Wall and Meditation Garden
    Our Garden is equipped with chaise longue chairs, water wall, and juice bar. Please bring your swimsuit if you wish to sunbathe. Swimming is available only at the hotel pool.

  • Jewelry and Valuables
    We ask that you don't bring jewelry or other valuables to the Spa or store them in your Spa locker. The Galvez will not be responsible for lost or stolen personal items or valuables.

  • Food and Beverage Service
    The Spa will offer several varieties of infused water, juices, teas, and fruit bowls for a quick pick-me-up. Wine, champagne, or special-order dessert trays may be ordered in advance. All dining services are offered in our hotel restaurant, Bernardo's, by renowned Chef Jerry Helminski.

  • Alcohol Beverage Service
    Due to an increased health risk when one is using heat or having a body treatment that releases toxins into the blood stream or increases circulation, alcohol is not permitted prior to any spa service, including the use of our steam room. The spa maintains a two-alcoholic-drink maximum, which should be enjoyed only after your services.
